Laughing in the face of my enemies

The song – I just want to praise Him- is first and foremost a declaration of faith.Faith in an unfailing God who has unfailing love.

Faith in a God who loves us perfectly and without holding anything back.

Faith in One who takes us from strength to strength and glory to glory!

Faith in He who takes us from victory to victory.

The song is entitled “ I just Want to Praise Him”  It is from the series “Portrats of His Majesty.”

I just want to praise You

For You have turned my mourning into dancing

I just want to praise You

For You have turned by sorrow into laugher

Now I laugh in the face of my enemies

And I sing and I dance for the victory is here

Yes it’s here!

Oh oh oh oh!

I just want to praise You

For you have filled by mouth with sounds of gladness

I  just want to praise You

For You have filled my heart with love and boldness

Now I laugh in the face of my enemies

And I sing and I dance for the victory is here

Yes it’s here!

Oh oh oh oh!

I just want to praise You

For You ride on my praises

Whenever I extol You Jesus

I just want to Praise You

For You ride on my praises

Whenever I extol You Jesus

And I see You exalted Lord

High on  Your throne

And I see that my Worship

Is due you alone

You alone!

You alone!

I just want to worship

Just want to fall on my knees

And stay in your presence Jesus

I just want to worship

Just want to fall on my knees and

Stay in your presence

Now I see you exalted like never before

And I bow and adore you for-e-ever more

Evermore

Evermore

Scripture verses

the sounds of joy and laughter. The joyful voices of bridegrooms and brides will be heard again, along with the joyous songs of people bringing thanksgiving offerings to the LORD. They will sing, ‘Give thanks to the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, for the LORD is good. His faithful love endures forever!’ For I will restore the prosperity of this land to what it was in the past, says the LORD.” Jeremiah 33:11

“There is none like the God of Jeshurun, Who rides the heavens to your help, And through the skies in His majesty.” Jeremiah 33:26

Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our maker, for He is our God. We are His people..the flock under His care.” Psalm 95:6-7.

If you follow my blog you’ll notice that it’s been awhile since I wrote in my blog.

That’s because I’ve been going through a new season. In my last blog, I wrote that although I had been going through a dry period, I had the assurance that I would rediscover my song!  That I would eventually regain spiritual strength, and soar on wings like an eagle.

Well in between I entered a new season quite unlike anything I’ve ever been through.

It was a season of intense trial related to my health.  The  Lord however drew closer to me than ever before –   and has affirmed over and over His covenant love.  One song that has reinforced this truth to me is the song  “Ever Be” by Anthony Evans Jr.  God has used it to remind me that His love is “enduring, like a ring of solid gold, like a vow that’s been tested, like a covenant of old. That He’s making me like new, clothing me in white, bringing beauty for ashes, for He will have His bride. “

A season in which the Lord has reminded me that He is the Giver of Life has reminded me that Life is both a Gift and a Trust.  Yet that He has Life Abundant in store for me in the years ahead.  There is much to look forward to.  The One who promised to renew my youth like an eagle in March this year, hasn’t changed His mind for He does not change like “shifting shadows. He is faithful. He is consistent. He keeps His word.  The one who gives overflowing abundant life, even when one’s life is threatened is more fowerful and stronger than anyone or anything.

Its been a baptism of fire and yet at the same time a season of refreshing and of gaining new perspective and new priorities. Seeing God create a hunger in me for His presence His righteousness and for change like I never thought possible.  A time of stretching yet a time of renewal.

It’s been a time of discovering what a wonderful church family I have, how many caring friends  I have and how God is able to use them to speak timely messages that speak exactly what  I needed to hear!  Like I’ve said many times in this blog no one can convince me that God is not real and hearing God speak to me through my friends timely messages is just one of the many proofs of that!

It’s been a time of going deeper than before into praise and worship. Praise and worship are the life blood of my relationship with God. It’s in those unhurried times of focusing on who  God is,  and basking in His presence, that  He reveals Himself to me. He becomes intensely personal, real and relevant.

So I can’t hold it in any longer – I just want to praise Him!  I want to offer exurberant praise and like a verse in the song says – I even want to laugh in the face of my enemies!

God is ALWAYS worthy to be praised and worshiped  – both in good times and bad!Even when we can’t fully fathom what He is doing  in our lives, He is doing more than we can ask for think of or imagine!

The song – I just want to praise Him- is therefore first and foremost a declaration of faith.

Faith in an unfailing God who has unfailing love.

Faith in a God who loves us perfectly and without holding anything back.

Faith in a God who gives His very best – He didn’t hold back His son.

Faith in the One who moves us from strength to strength and glory to glory!

Faith in the One takes us from victory to victory. I have such an assurance of victory in my spirit! Not because of me or my strength but because Victory belongs to Jesus. He won it all at the Cross.

“So I laugh in the face of my enemies and I sing and I dance for the victory is here, Yes its here! ”

Yes, VICTORY BELONGS TO JESUS. HIS COVENANT LOVE ARMS ME WITH STRENGTH. AND NOTHING CAN SEPARATE ME FROM HIS LOVE.
